Terms of Service

Effective Date: 22 February 2026  ·  Last Updated: 17 October 2026

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using absqueue.com (the “Platform”), operated by ABSQUEUE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202626493K) (“AbsQueue”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement under Singapore's Electronic Transactions Act 2010. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

1. About AbsQueue

AbsQueue is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent, freelance, and home-based beauty service professionals (“Professionals”) in Singapore. AbsQueue provides the Platform as a venue for discovery, booking and connection. Where a Professional chooses, we also collect booking payments as that Professional's agent under section 8A.

AbsQueue does not itself provide beauty services. We do not employ, contract, supervise, or direct Professionals. Any service agreement is strictly between the Customer and the Professional. AbsQueue is not a party to any such agreement. This stays true when we collect payment for a booking as the Professional's agent.

Customers can book a Professional's open times on the Platform or contact them through external channels such as WhatsApp, Instagram or phone. Most Customers pay the Professional directly at the appointment, and AbsQueue takes no part in those payments. A Professional in Singapore may instead choose to take payment through AbsQueue when a Customer books, and section 8A explains how that works. Professional subscription fees are billed through our payment provider, as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

2. Eligibility

To use AbsQueue, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Singapore law;
  • Not have previously been suspended or banned from the Platform; and
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account.

Additional eligibility for Professionals: By listing on AbsQueue, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right to work and provide services in Singapore, and that you hold any licences, permits, or approvals required by law for the services you offer (including, where applicable, approval from the Housing & Development Board (HDB) or the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) to operate a home-based business).

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to refuse or terminate access to any user who does not meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration and keep it current;
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your password and login credentials;
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account;
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account; and
  • Register only one account per person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms.

3A. Emails From AbsQueue

3A.1 While you have an account, we will email you about things you need to know to use the Platform, such as verification, security, your bookings, and changes to these Terms. These emails are part of the service, so you can stop them only by closing your account.

3A.2 By creating a Professional account, you agree that we may email you about your profile and the customers looking for you. These emails include reminders to finish setting up your profile, a notice when your calendar has no open times, a notice when a customer asks to be told when you open times, a monthly summary of your activity, and updates on how many times your profile was opened without a time to book.

3A.3 If you follow a Professional, including the automatic follow when you book one, we will email you when that Professional opens new times and send you a summary every two weeks of the Professionals you follow who have open times.

3A.4 Every email described in sections 3A.2 and 3A.3 contains a link that lets you switch that type of email off, and you can also stop them by emailing [email protected]. Switching an email off does not affect your account or your bookings, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the data behind these emails.

4. Professional Listings and Obligations

Professionals who list services on AbsQueue agree to the following:

4.1 Accuracy of Listings

All profile information, service descriptions, portfolio images, and pricing must be accurate, complete, and not misleading. Professionals must update their listings promptly if any information changes.

If a Customer has paid for a booking through AbsQueue, you must not ask that Customer to pay for the same service again or to pay more than the confirmed price.

4.2 Independent Contractor Status

Professionals are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of AbsQueue. AbsQueue has no obligation to provide Professionals with work, referrals, or revenue. Professionals are solely responsible for:

  • Their own tax obligations, including filing income tax returns with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and, if applicable, registering for and collecting GST;
  • Their own CPF contributions (if applicable for self-employed persons);
  • Compliance with all applicable laws, licences, and permits;
  • Obtaining and maintaining any required insurance (e.g., public liability insurance); and
  • The quality, safety, and outcome of all services they provide to Customers.

Where a Professional switches on in-app payments, AbsQueue acts as that Professional's agent for the limited purposes in section 8A and for no other purpose.

4.3 Home-Based Business Compliance

Professionals operating from residential premises in Singapore are solely responsible for ensuring their business activity complies with HDB and/or URA home-based business rules. AbsQueue does not verify, warrant, or accept liability for Professional compliance with these rules.

4.4 Licence and Regulatory Compliance

Certain beauty services in Singapore may require licences or certifications (for example, services regulated under the Environmental Public Health Act or other health legislation). Professionals are solely responsible for identifying and complying with all applicable regulatory requirements for the services they offer.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to AbsQueue (such as profile photos, portfolio images, and profile text) (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant AbsQueue a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

5.2 Your Representations

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to submit the content and to grant the above licence;
  • The content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; and
  • The content is accurate and not misleading.

5.3 Our Rights Over Content

We reserve the right to remove, edit, or refuse to publish any User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is misleading, is unlawful, or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable Singapore law or regulation, including the Computer Misuse Act, PDPA, or Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003;
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings, reviews, or profile information;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Harass, intimidate, threaten, or abuse other users;
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, extract, or copy content from the Platform without our written permission;
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • Solicit personal data from other users beyond what is necessary for legitimate service enquiries;
  • Attempt to circumvent any Platform security measures; or
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful, harmful, or commercially exploitative purpose.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement authorities.

7. External Contact and Off-Platform Transactions

The Platform provides contact buttons that link to external channels including WhatsApp, Instagram, and phone calls. Once you leave absqueue.com:

  • All communications occur on third-party platforms subject to their own terms and privacy policies;
  • AbsQueue is not a party to, and bears no liability for, any agreement, transaction, dispute, or outcome arising from off-platform communications; and
  • AbsQueue is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or conduct of third-party platforms or their users.

When Customers and Professionals arrange or pay for a service off the Platform, they transact directly and at their own risk. We strongly encourage both parties to exercise due diligence before engaging.

8. AbsQueue as Marketplace Intermediary

AbsQueue operates as a technology platform and marketplace intermediary only. Specifically:

  • We do not verify qualifications. We do not independently verify Professional qualifications, certifications, licences, or the accuracy of profile information. Customers should perform their own due diligence.
  • We do not guarantee service quality. AbsQueue makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any service listed on the Platform.
  • We are not an employment agency. AbsQueue does not introduce Professionals to Customers for the purpose of employment. Professionals are self-employed individuals.
  • We collect payment only as a Professional's agent. For most bookings, payment is settled directly between the Customer and the Professional. Where a Professional has switched on in-app payments, we collect payment for that Professional as their agent under section 8A. We do not become a party to the service, and we do not take on the Professional's responsibility for it.

8A. In-App Booking Payments

8A.1 In-app payments are available only to Professionals based in Singapore who switch them on and accept the Payout Terms in section 8B. They apply only to bookings of that Professional's own services. Studio bookings, group bookings, walk-ins and services priced at S$0 are paid at the appointment.

8A.2 By switching on in-app payments, a Professional appoints AbsQueue as their agent for two limited purposes: to confirm bookings of their open times at the prices they set on the Platform, and to receive payment for those bookings on their behalf. We act for the Professional and not for the Customer. AbsQueue is not a bank and does not offer accounts, stored value or e-wallets.

8A.3 When a Customer pays for a booking through AbsQueue and the payment is confirmed, the Customer has paid the Professional for that booking in full. If we fail to pass that money on, the Professional's claim is against AbsQueue and not against the Customer.

8A.4 Payments are made by PayNow and processed by HitPay, a payment institution licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore [verify entity name and licence]. AbsQueue receives each payment and holds it until it is paid out under section 8B or refunded.

8A.5 Each paid booking carries fees made up of HitPay's charge for processing the PayNow payment and AbsQueue's booking fee of S$1.00, and the Customer and the Professional each pay half. The Customer's half is shown as a service fee, added to the service price and shown with the total before the Customer pays. The Professional's half is shown as a platform fee, deducted from the amount we pay out, and shown before the Professional switches in-app payments on and against each booking.

8A.6 Cancellations, no-shows and refunds of paid bookings follow section 8 of our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We make refunds on the Professional's behalf.

8A.7 If a Customer tells us the Professional did not provide a paid service, we will ask both sides what happened. If we find the service was not provided, we may refund the Customer in full on the Professional's behalf.

8A.8 A Professional can switch in-app payments off at any time. Bookings that are already paid remain governed by this section and section 8B.

8A.9 We may pause or stop in-app payments for everyone or for any Professional at any time, including for security, fraud or legal reasons. While they are paused, new bookings are paid at the appointment, and money we already hold is still paid out or refunded under these Terms.

8B. Payout Terms for Professionals

8B.1 Your earnings are the money we collect on your behalf for paid bookings, less your platform fee under 8A.5 and any amount deducted under 8B.6. Earnings are money we owe you as your agent. They are not a deposit, they earn no interest, they cannot be used to pay anyone else, and you cannot add money to them.

8B.2 Earnings from a booking become ready to pay out 24 hours after the booking's scheduled end time, unless the booking has been cancelled or refunded by then. Marking a booking completed or no-show does not make its earnings ready sooner.

8B.3 You can request a payout of your full ready balance once it reaches S$20, and you can have one request open at a time. Our team pays each request by PayNow to your confirmed PayNow number within 3 business days, and we tell you when it has been paid.

8B.4 You must give us a Singapore mobile number registered for PayNow in your own name, together with its account holder's name. We do not accept PayNow registered to an NRIC or FIN number. Before paying, we check that the name your bank shows matches the name you gave us. If it does not match, we return the money to your ready balance and ask you to confirm your details. When you change your PayNow details, we email your account address and make no payout for 12 hours.

8B.5 We may delay or withhold a payout while we look into suspected fraud, an unauthorised change to your details, or a Customer's dispute about a booking, or where the law requires it. We will tell you when we do this unless the law prevents us.

8B.6 If a booking is refunded after its earnings were paid to you, or a refund carries HitPay's processing charge that these Terms place on you, your balance may go below zero. We deduct the amount from your future earnings, and you cannot request a payout until your balance is above zero again. If you stop using in-app payments or close your account while you owe us money, you must pay it within 30 days of our request.

8B.7 If you cancel a paid booking, the Customer receives a full refund, and HitPay's processing charge for that payment is deducted from your earnings.

8B.8 The amounts Customers pay for your services are your income. You remain responsible for your own tax and, if you are registered, GST. We do not deduct tax from payouts, and we will give you a record of your paid bookings and payouts on request.

8B.9 If you close your account, we pay out your ready balance of any amount to your confirmed PayNow number once your pending bookings have become ready or been refunded.

8B.10 If you have not requested a payout for 60 days, we may pay any ready balance of S$20 or more to your confirmed PayNow number without a request.

8B.11 If we pay you more than you are owed by mistake, you must return the difference, and we may deduct it from your future earnings.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform that is not User Content, including the AbsQueue name, logo, design, software, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to AbsQueue and is protected by Singapore and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Platform content without our express written consent.

If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please contact us at [email protected] with details of the alleged infringement.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

10.1 Optional Third-Party Integrations

Professionals may optionally connect a Google Calendar account to sync confirmed bookings. This integration is off by default and can be turned on or off at any time from your dashboard settings. Connecting Google Calendar authorises AbsQueue to create and delete calendar events on your behalf for confirmed and cancelled bookings only. See our Privacy Policy for details on what this involves and how the data is handled.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses;
  • Information on the Platform (including Professional listings and pricing) is accurate, complete, or current; or
  • Results obtained from using the Platform will meet your requirements.

This disclaimer is subject to the requirements of the Singapore Unfair Contract Terms Act and does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, AbsQueue shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, personal injury, or property damage, arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Platform;
  • Any service provided (or not provided) by a Professional to a Customer;
  • Any off-platform communications or transactions; or
  • Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.

In any event, AbsQueue's total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed SGD 100. This limit does not apply to money we have collected on a Professional's behalf and not yet paid out, or to a refund we owe a Customer under section 8A, and we will pay those amounts in full.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AbsQueue and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms;
  • Any User Content you submit;
  • Any service you provide to a Customer as a Professional (including claims by Customers regarding service quality, safety, or outcomes); or
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

14. Termination

14.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your account settings or by emailing us at [email protected].

14.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or if we cease operating the Platform. If we suspend or close your account, sections 8A and 8B still govern any money we hold for you or that you owe us.

14.3 Survival

The following sections survive termination of your account or these Terms: Section 5 (User Content licence, to the extent needed to keep existing content on the Platform), Section 8 (Marketplace Intermediary), Sections 8A and 8B (for as long as money remains to be paid out, refunded or recovered), Section 9 (Intellectual Property), Section 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties), Section 12 (Limitation of Liability), Section 13 (Indemnification), and Section 15 (Governing Law and Disputes).

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15.2 Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. If you have a complaint about the Platform or another user, please contact us first at [email protected].

For disputes between Customers and Professionals, we recommend contacting the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) or using the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) for mediation before commencing legal proceedings.

15.3 Jurisdiction

Subject to the dispute resolution process above, you and AbsQueue submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore for the resolution of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and AbsQueue regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page;
  • Notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect where reasonably practicable.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
